Formal Game Rules:

HI LO is a simple card draw game where you bet on whether the next card drawn will be higher or lower than the current card. The initial bet amount is shown in the bottom centre of the play screen and may be adjusted using the left and right arrows.

The game is commenced by pressing DEAL and this action being registered on our servers. Once the game has been commenced the game cannot be discontinued and the bet amount will be deducted from your account and added to the bank amount shown at the top centre of the screen.

After pressing DEAL a card will be drawn and displayed. The player must then bet on whether the next card drawn will be higher or lower than the card displayed. The amounts which may be won for betting higher or lower are shown above the card display. These are actual currency amounts, which show the amount that will result from a correct bet including the initial stake (they are not bet multipliers).

The player must select whether they are betting HIGHER OR LOWER and this causes a card to be drawn. Selecting HIGHER or LOWER constitutes a further game interaction. Once either of these options has been actioned, it cannot be reversed and the outcome of play is resolved by comparing the new card with the preceding card.

Cards are ranked in ascending order as follows:

Ace, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Jack, Queen, King

If the player wins by making a correct selection the win amount is put into the "Bank" and displayed at the top centre of the screen. The player can choose to bet HIGHER or LOWER on the draw of a further card or to COLLECT in which case the Bank amount is credited to the player's account balance and the player may start a fresh bet.

This game features a set of 13 cards in the suit of Spades where the remainder of the set excepting the latest card displayed is shuffled between the draw of each new card.

The table limit (maximum bet per game) is 250. If the Bank amount exceeds 250 the amount will automatically be COLLECTed and credited to the player's account balance.

This game is played over the Internet which is a communication medium that is known to be imperfect. Messages to or from your display device and the game servers may be lost or interrupted. If you have not commenced the game when you are disconnected, the game will not take place. If you have commenced the game when you are disconnected the game status will be recorded on the game servers and the bet will stand and the outcome will be reflected in your account status.

In the event a game is partway through when the disconnection occurs, attempting to reconnect should enable the game to recommence at the point at which disconnection occurred. If you have wagered and/or carried out any game interaction when you are disconnected, the result of that interaction will be recorded on the game servers and any bet(s) will stand and the outcome will be reflected in the game state and your account status. If a game cannot be recommenced in this way it is considered a malfunction.

In the event of disconnection the records stored on the game server shall be the final authority in determining the terms of any bets you have placed and the circumstances in which they were made.

Note that if you attempt to reconnect to a game after the last possible player interaction in a game, you may not see the completion of the hand however your account balance will be updated to reflect the outcome. This is not considered a malfunction.

"Malfunction voids all pays and play" - in other words your bet and any outcome are void in the event of a malfunction.
